HC de Hoeve facilities

At your service!

At equestrian center the Hoeve we have allround facilities available. You can choose from several kinds of stables and we have plenty of pasture space. On top of that we have comfort and training facilities, warm water wash areas and heat lamps to pamper your precious four legged friend.

Our indoor riding arena's are 30 x 60 and 18 x 38 meters. De outside riding arenas are 20 x 60 and 20 x 40 meters. If you do not have the time to exercise your horse we can put it in the treadmill or the paddock for a small daily fee. With pleasure we take care of your horse; we clean the stables we feed your horse and we bring your horse to the pasture if the weather is good enough. We have a fully licensed bar/canteen facility available where you can chat with the other horse lovers about your horse and your adventures. Equestrian center the Hoeve, At your service!

Training facilities

The big indoor arena: size 30 x 60 meters. Quality bedding and a sprinkler system guaranty dust free conditions. In two places we've put up large mirrors for an excellent view on horse and rider. There is ample advertising space available and from the restaurant on the first floor you have a great overview.

Outdoor arena front side: size 20 x 60 meters. This arena has professional bedding as well and although the arena is outside, it can be used year round. Thanks to good floodlights this arena can be used at night. Jumping materials are also available in this arena

Outside arena 2: size 20 x 40 meter. This arena has a bedding system that guarantees year round use. Lights available too. This arena is our outdoor dressage competition area for the B, L and M levels.

Treadmill: For six horses. The operation of the treadmill is for the Hoeve staff only. The qualified staff of the Hoeve is responsible for putting the horses in or taking them out of the treadmill. Carolien de Groot is the contact person regarding the treadmill training facility.

Lunge circle: diameter 20 meters. This is one of our most important training facilities meant to train your horse for the saddle or work on the stamina, flexibility and muscle tone of your horse.

Rest en Recreation

The paddock's: We have 4 spacious paddock's available; a true play area for your horse. De paddock are filled with sand and the drainage is such that the bedding is always dry.

The pastures: EC the Hoeve has 6 acres of pasture available. We give you options: 24 hour or part day grazing. The horses are outside however still under our watch. If the weather turns bad we take the horses out of the pastures. EC the Hoeve has several pastures so horses groups are formed based on the character of the horse to prevent injury. Horses are individually guided to and from the pastures keeping in mind a habituation period.

Stable options

The "private" stables: these spacious stables measure 3,70 x 3,25 meters. Through the bars, horses are in contact with each other. The stables are equipped with a folding front so the horses can stick their head out of the stable. At this stable we also have a grooming area and a warm water wash facility. .

Stables "arena": measuring 3,00 x 3,50 meters. Two different price ranges. Stable "arena side": Horses can see each other through lattice. Stables "wall side": The horses see each other AND have a outside window through which they are in contact with the fresh air. At these stables a warm water wash area and two solariums are available.

Stables in Annex building: these spacious stables measure 3,00 x 4,00 meters. Horses can see each other through the lattice. The stable doors have a hinged part that opens up so the horses can stick their head outside the stable. These stables are also used as the nursery.

Extra facilities

Solarium: After working with your horse a solarium treatment will help reduce soreness. The infrared lights stimulate the blood circulation in the muscles reducing the chance that sport injuries develop. The solarium is also used as a "dryer" after you washed your horse right next to it.

Canteen: EC de Hoeve has two canteens available. The larger of the two has certain opening hours but the smaller one is always open. The large canteen has a full bar with several lunch options. The small canteen is equipped with a coffee and snack vending machine. Close by is a soda vending machine.

Saddle lockers: Secured saddle lockers with heating and blanked drying racks. A ventilation system controls the air quality. This ensures that your precious leather harnesses and saddles stay in optimum condition
